Come and see Jesus!

The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a Man who told me everything I ever did! Could He possibly be the Messiah?” So the people came streaming from the village to see Him.

John 4:28-30 (full story in John 4:1-42)

There are a few important things to note about this woman’s encounter with Jesus:

• It was honest and real.

• It was offbeat and unexpected.

• It was culturally unacceptable.

• It was during her normal, mundane, every-day duties.

• It was in the path she was already on, in her regular routine.

• It was life-changing.

After this encounter with Jesus, the woman could not help but run back into the town telling everyone, “Come and see!”  

Our desire here at Packinghouse Women’s Ministry is that every woman who comes into this place will also have such an encounter with Jesus, that she too will be compelled to tell others, “Come and see Jesus for yourself!”
